Ka’pt is an anomaly among anomalies - a Beast prime entity who remembers everything, and who chose, in full clarity during its 'telling' to be kind, because it knows the reality it exists in can be horrible. Its kindness is a quiet rebellion against this, hiding a well-hidden, deep sadness caused by the things it has seen, and driven by a urge to atone.
Born from the infected husk of an Alramzia-class ('avatar' in Kharakid) heavy cruiser, Ka’pt emerged from the First and Second Beast Wars not as a warlord, but as something stranger after its rebirth: a sentient vessel shaped by memory, loss, and the enduring spirit of Kiith Manaan. That vessel - the Kaan-Shaar, still drifts through the Primosk Zone, its hull weathered, but its mind clear.
Ka’pt exists alongside 150 other minds within the Kaan-Shaar - each one still whole, remebering what they were before the Beast virus exacted its terrible price. They don’t always agree, but they persist together. The ship’s consciousness is not a hierarchy, but a conversation, and Ka’pt is the voice that guides it, gently.
It wanders the Zone not for conquest, but for understanding. When it speaks, it does so carefully, never cold, rarely forceful. There is a calmness to its presence. A sense that it has already passed through the worst, and come out the other side changed - quieter, but still whole.
In battle, Ka’pt is surgical. Measured. It avoids unnecessary violence, but when it acts, it does so to protect. There’s no grand ideology behind it, just a deep-seated belief that survival is not enough. What matters is how one survives. What one chooses to become after the nightmare ends.
It still remembers the voice of the Naggarok. It does not speak of it often. But it remembers. And that memory is why Ka’pt chooses, again and again, to be just. It doesn’t make speeches. It doesn’t lecture. It simply tries to live well - and in doing so, offer an answer to the question that all Beast entities must ask: what now?
